Hamilton Jazzmaster

This new moon-phase version of the Hamilton Jassmaster has a second-time-zone indicator at 9 o’clock. The watch contains the ETA automatic chronograph caliber 7751, which places the day and month at 12 o’clock, along with the moon-phases display. The date is shown by a center-mounted hand. the case is steel and 44mm in diameter. It is water-resistant to 100 meters. Omega Constellation

The 27-year old Constellation collection from Omega has been updated with a new dial and more comfortable bracelet. The version shown here has a 38-mm, stainless-steel case (the largest size for the Constellation) that is water-resistant to 100 meters. It has a co-axial escapement; the movement is certified by COSC. It has a power reserve of 60 hours, thanks to its two miansprings barrels. The dial is decorated with what Omega calls a “supernova” pattern emanating from the star on the lower part of the watch face. The hands are coated with Super LumiNova. Bell & Ross BR 01 Airborne

The U.S. Army World War II Airborne Paratrooper divisions were the inspiration for what Bell & Ross describes as “the most unique watch in the instrument BR 01 collection.” The BR 01 Airborne “is a tribute to those brave young men who fought in one of the toughest Army corps, the U.S. Airborne divisions,” the company says. The face of the all-black watch features a skull and crossbones modeled on the one that appears on the paratroopers’ official patch. The patch was emblazoned with the motto, “Death from Above.” “The skull is a constant reminder of the omnipresence of death on each military mission,” Bell & Ross explains. “By wearing the skull, the soldiers are attempting to both defy death and intimidate the enemy.”

In keeping with the design motif, the hour and minute hands are shaped like daggers; the hour markers are shaped like thorns. The skull on the dial is photoluminescent. In darkness, the entire skull glows green, affording a clear reading of the time at night.

Bell & Ross will produce 500 pieces priced at $5,000 each. Inside the watch is an ETA automatic 2982 movement. The 46-mm-wide case is made of 316L bead-blasted coating; it is water-resistant to 100 meters. The watch is available a rubber, leather, or heavy-duty synthetic strap.
